We consider that any reengineering process has to begin by placing the target system within the context of business decisions. Our Web Service architecture for enterprise application integration, B2C interactions and B2B integration, together with our reengineering tools, creates the ability to quickly integrate independent systems and make them interoperable with new applications.
Traditional middleware solutions can provide such things as data access points, but they cannot provide the kind of application integration that supplies the whole system with the flexibility needed to meet ever-changing business requirements. Web services can provide a common interface between applications, allowing the user to seamlessly interact with applications running on various platforms.
Our strategy is to extract volatile business rules by first identifying and isolating the stable core functionalities that constitute business invariants.
